Spice Is The Variety Of Life

BY Happy Me Feeling Good
For some years now, there has been a perception that nutritious eating is tasteless, bland and sometimes off-putting. We all know that a salad is better for us than a hamburger, but we're going to a burger because it has more taste – or so the theory goes. But there is no reason for this to be the case. Any meal could make more exciting, with the introduction of a little spice.

People will also be quick to find out that while a grilled chicken breast may contain less calories from a fried chicken outlet than a family bowl, it does not taste as well. And while this is an question of opinion, the fact of the matter is that opinions matter.
However, if you marinate your chicken breast with herbs and spices, the flavor will improve dramatically, and be even more enjoyable.

In your sandwiches, you may get bored with eating tuna salad although tuna is far from tasteless. Even if you add a little flavor as you make the tuna mix, you can note that there are a variety of different flavors in the form of calories that contribute very little, if anything. Paprika, garlic, cayenne ...... the list continues. The addition of chopped jalapenos could make it even more interesting, if you have the stomach for them. And the bottles of sauce on store shelves these days go beyond steak sauce and ketchup – items such as piri-piri and teriyaki are a nice change from the usual.
